If this is the first time you have read my blog this post may not make as much sense to you…but to my regular readers I must apologize. Two weeks ago I mentioned that I had family coming into town and rather than neglect my blog I would write about our experiences as a tourist. Well, two weeks later and I’m just now catching up and taking the time to sit down and blog. So, needless to say I am not going to take the time to go into detail about all of our experiences.

I really thought that I would be able to take the time to sit down and go through my experiences. While I had time occasionally to relax by myself…I frankly did not want to spend it blogging. I did make several observations in the past two weeks that are worth sharing with you…my faithful readers. I apologize again for first time readers as this is probably not going to be my favorite post…so go ahead, skip around my blog and read some of my past informational posts.

- Ride the Ducks is the best tourist thing to do in Seattle. I have said this for years but hadn’t done it for quite a while…well it was one of the main things we decided to do and no one regretted it. It is extremely affordable and gives a great overview of the city. I love having fun while learning and Ride the Ducks really accomplishes this.

- You can count on cold weather when family is in town. As Seattleites we know this…when there is a big event or family in town we won’t get those gorgeous sunshine days. However, the day we drove to Spokane the sun finally came out and it warmed up. i came back to Seattle without the family and enjoyed a nice spell of great weather. Now they will be back here for a couple of days in another week or so and I can already tell you what the weather will be those days.

- I always get the busiest when it is most inconveniant. I have mentioned this many times, but I can sit around for weeks with extra time then when a vacation comes or family comes into town all of the sudden I get too busy to see straight. Well, this has happened again. On top of real estate and family visiting…someone also managed to rear end my car. Yesterday was the first “non-real estate or family” day I’ve had in a while and I spent it dealing with the insurance company. Finally today I could spend really getting caught up and ahead.

- Just because I take time away doesn’t keep the market from continuing to change. Therefore, thankfully I am working on changing with it. Part of this unexpected busyness that I have encountered has included exploring more ways to increase my income and real estate business. More on this to come in the following weeks.

- Everybody is born in July. I was born in January myself and I always thought that everyone was born in January…but this July has proved that differently. I’m not sure what happened over the past year but all of the sudden it seems like my friend base all has July birthdays. This has meant many happy hours and evening birthday parties in my extra time…and July is only half over. I still know of at least three July birthdays coming up!

- Blogging can be time consuming. That’s why you haven’t seen consistent posts when I’m exhausted and busy. Sure, I have a couple free hours most evenings but those are usually spent recouping from the days. I promise as the craziness settles down with the family you will see more posts. And stay tuned for some potentially large news in the near future!
