How to Increase Your Credit Score
Well, my personal life is finally starting to get caught up with and now I’m noticing my streaky real estate business picking up again. One thing I have always noticed that is a problem in my business model is that I am very streaky. I will go 2 or 3 weeks with a small amount of business and then all the sudden have a month where I am too busy to see straight. I would like to achieve more consistency so that neither of these things happen.
I was talking with a buyer of mine today about the mortgage he is working to attain. He was discussing how it makes him nervous that he has five different people calling him from all sides of his loan asking for information. Unfortunately, this is fallout from the mortgage crisis…buyers must provide much more documentation. With raised credit requirements and stricter lending standards…it is more work from all parties to help you as a buyer get a loan.
The raised credit restrictions have really hurt some people who now are forced to watch their credit more than ever. If you are borderline getting qualified based on your credit you must be really careful to monitor your actions each day so that it does not negatively affect your score.
I have heard and seen many things discussing how to keep your credit strong. Today, I came across a blog that dealt with how to improve your credit score in detail. I felt that it did a great job of working through the most important aspects that you should take into account in order to keep your credit scores high.
In a struggling economy, we as consumers must be even more careful to watch our credit scores. Mistakes that you may make right now could affect your borrowing power over the next 10 years or more. Whether you are looking to purchase a home now or in 10 years…you should start working on your credit now. Protect your credit at all costs and you will be thankful in the future.
Have a great Monday.
